Journalists from countries including France, Japan and Kazakhstan visited Wuxi in East China's Jiangsu province on Feb 21 to experience the city's intelligent manufacturing and digital filmmaking.
A journalist from Mainichi Daily showed interest in the automatic management at the factory of Jabil Inc in the Wuxi New District Free Trade Zone, which generated 150 billion yuan ($21.77 billion) in operating revenue and 93.7 billion yuan in industrial output last year.

5G technology has been widely applied to manufacturing, factory building, and management at the factory, making the Wuxi factory Jabil's largest intelligent manufacturing base.
The journalist said that as a reporter of economic news, he is quite interested in Jabil. For a very long time, many people believed that it was low labor costs that supported China's manufacturing industry, but he was inspired by today's visit, the journalist added.

The journalists also visited Wuxi Studios, also known as "China's Hollywood". Formerly an abandoned steel mill, the industrial park has 15 film studios and has produced more than 1,200 TV series and films.
The Wuxi visit is part of the "Show Jiangsu" media tour, and over the next few days the foreign journalists will visit Xuzhou and Suqian to learn about Chinese-type modernization in Jiangsu.
